How to Exhibit & Sell Your Art
Option #5: Significant Private Collector

If you are a private art collector or a corporation with an art collection, this option may be for you. The FolkArt.Com™ recognizes the benefits of exhibiting art from collections like yours. [Note: Simply having a collection of art does NOT make this option appropriate for you. If you are an artist or a trader of art, this option is probably NOT for you. Artists should refer to Option #1 or Option #2.] The purpose of this option is to encourage the exhibition of art held by private individuals or corporations. OTHER OPTIONS

 

Our Private Collectors program allows for all or part of the art from your collection to be view by a world wide audience. There are no fees associated with this option. There is no obligation to offer any part of your collection for sale. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

However, if you desire to sell any items from the collection we retain a 30% commission on the items sold. Latitude International collects the purchase price from the customer including shipping, handling, and insurance. You ship the art to the buyer only after you have received full payment. Fees & Commission:

  • $30 Set-up Fee
  • No Annual Fee
  • 30% commission on art that is sold: Commission is calculated on the price of the art set by the collector

What You Get

Latitude International creates and maintains your Home Page, Bio Page (if desired), Art Pages including all the links within your subdirectory. Latitude stores your graphics as GIF or JPG files and stores your audio files as MIDI. Latitude creates and maintains all the links to the FolkArt.Com™ category indexes. You may request minor alterations such as changes in price or changes in descriptions at any time. Latitude will make its best effort to accommodate your wishes.

  • Your "Home Page": The URL of your Home Page will be [www.folkart.com/your-subdirectory/]. You may request a subdirectory with a name of your choice. You will provide Latitude the description of your art as you wish it to appear on the web (including prices and shipping, handling and insurance charges) and images of your art in electronic format. Latitude will create and maintain your Home Page describing your art. The format and layout will be in a manner consistent with other art on the FolkArt.Com™.
  • Your "Bio" Page: The URL of your Bio Page will be [www.folkart.com/your-subdirectory/name.htm] You may request any name or identifier of your choice. You will provide Latitude your bio as you wish it to appear on the web.
  • Your "Art Pages": The URL of your Art Pages will be [www.folkart.com/your-subdirectory/item#.htm] You may request item #s or identifiers of your choice. You will provide Latitude descriptions of your art as you wish it to appear on the web (including prices and shipping, handling and insurance charges). Latitude will create and maintain your Art Pages.

What's Next & How to Apply [send email to: Sell@folkart.com]

Step #1 - Application

Send a description of you and your art collection including photographs. Email description of art to Sell@folkart.com or mail to: Latitude International, 1749 Killdeer Court, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, Tel (408) 255-7518, Fax (443) 241-0707. Note: Include your email address.

Within one week a Latitude International representative will email to discuss how to proceed. Assuming we all agree that your art should be on the FolkArt.Com™, we will go to Step #2.

Step #2 - Getting Your Art on the Web

  • Provide written descriptions of your art, your bio, and photograph(s) of your art in electronic format. Determine the price and the shipping, handling and insurance cost.
  • Latitude places your art in FolkArt.Com™ and maintains the web pages.

Step #3 - When Your Art Is Sold

  • Latitude International collects full payment (determined by the you) including shipping, handling and insurance cost from the customer.
  • Latitude International pays you retaining 30% commission and gives you customer's address.
  • You ship art to customer when you receive payment from Latitude International (70% of the price plus shipping, handling and insurance).

Summary
